Over 15 volunteer firefighters from Williamsburg, Geeseytown and Six Mile Run braved the cold temperatures last Sunday for ice rescue training at Canoe Creek.
"We have been waiting two years for this training," Assistant Chief Jon Isenberg, of Williamsburg said.
The ice was about 10 inches thick on the lake, with the water being roughly four to five feet for training.
"We haven't had cold weather like this in a while, so it's good we were finally able to get this training in," he said.
Scott Grahn, of the PA Fishing and Boating Commission, was the trainer conducting the water rescue training....
