Claysburg-Kimmel FBLA Gives Back to the Community

Claysburg-Kimmel's Future Business Leaders of America chapter (CK FBLA) has received so much support from the community over the years. The chapter wanted the chance to show their appreciation and give back to the community that has given so much to them.

To aid the community in as many ways as possible, this year's Community Service Project team (Makenzie Ebersole, Levi Kennedy, and Launa Musselman) created Community Connections with the main goal of leaving a positive impact on our community.

On December 14, Community Connections held its second annual Breakfast with Santa. Thanks to the support of our community, this event was a major success, seeing well over 200 children and parents in attendance.

They are thankful for the support and hope to see everyone again next year.

In addition to the Breakfast with Santa, Community Connections also held its first Unified Snowball dance, which was a semi-formal dance for MDS and Special Education students in Bedford and Blair Counties.

This event was just as successful as the last. It was a wonderful time and they hope to have even more people attend next year.

CK FBLA and Community Connections' future plans include the Polar Plunge on February 8.

CK FBLA has started a fundraising campaign for PA Special Olympics on their Facebook and Instagram pages.

In coordination with the CK MDS Program, they will host an art auction on March 6 at the Claysburg Kimmel Elementary School.

They hope to see a crowd for both of those events.

Those interested in learning about CK FBLA and Community Connections, should check out their Instagram and Facebook pages.
