Fire Destroys Hamer Bakery

The Roaring Spring Bakery operated by J.C. Hamer, was destroyed in a Sunday evening fire with an estimated loss at $8,000 to $10,000. Reported by the owner’s wife, the origin of the blaze was in the annex from the wires contacting the waxed wrapping paper. About 400 barrels of western flour burned, machinery and equipment were badly damaged, but the trucks and cars were removed by firemen.
