A public hearing was held in Greenfield Township on Monday, January 6, to discuss the intermunicipal transfer of a liquor license. Following a public comment period in which no comments were made, township supervisors passed a resolution stating that they would allow the license to come into the township.
The license would be transferred from Ragini & Dhruv, Inc. of Hollidaysburg, PA, to RSR Hospitality, LLC, for use at 1698 Overland Pass, Claysburg. The site is anticipated to be used as a catering venue for weddings and charity events, according to RSR Hospitality representatives.
Also at the meeting, the township’s three supervisors voted in favor of an ordinance to vacate a portion of Corporate Blvd., consisting of a cul-de-sac southwest of Cottontown Road. The cul-de-sac was originally designed to allow access to multiple undeveloped business park parcels; however, A. Duie Pyle plans to develop the entire area as one project. By vacating the roadway, the company will be able to gate the roadway and the township will not have to provide maintenance, including snow plowing.
Supervisors voted to advertise the sale of a decommissioned 2014 Ford Explorer and miscellaneous surplus supplies on an online auction site.
Prior to the regular monthly meeting the board reorganized.
Jordan Oldham was reappointed as board chair and Michael Childers was elected as vice-chair. The board’s third supervisor, Alex Musselman, served as vice-chair in 2024.
The board retained Patrick Fanelli of Fanelli Legal as solicitor, Stiffler McGraw as engineering firm, and the Blair County Tax Collection Bureau as local service tax and earned income tax collector.
AMED, the Hollidaysburg American Legion Ambulance Service, and the Duncansville Emergency Medical Service were designated for ambulance service.
Board meetings will continue to be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the township’s office on Ski Gap Road.
The township’s annual clean-up day is scheduled for April 26.
