The Cove received its first major snowstorm of the winter season and of the new century on Thursday, Jan 20, with about five inches of snow. There was possibly more in some other areas.

A meeting on Jan. 20 to discuss a project to trim and possibly remove trees near the approach to a Blair County Airport’s runway drew a crowd of about 50 persons to the Memorial Park banquet room.
