School House Door Barred

Two boys from the Mines barred the school house door and thought they would run things to suit themselves. But when the door was forced open, they jumped out of a window and made their escape.
Clouse Brothers moved their saw mill from Lafayetteville to Keagy’s Woods between Waterside and Woodbury.
James F. Likens of Huston Township announced he would be a candidate for delegate to the Republican National Convention.

The main room at the Mount Pleasant Church was papered, greatly improving its appearance.
John Quarry of Roaring Spring had the contract for the building in the spring of two barns, for Jacob and John W. Snowberger, and a house for Andrew Smaltz, all in the area of East Sharpsburg.
