Storm Closes Two Roads

A Tuesday morning snowstorm closed Piney and Clover Creek roads, forcing travelers to use fields for more than a day.

Branch Conductor Howard Yingling was nearly run over by a box car being shifted on the local rails. He had slipped on the ice and struck his head, falling into its path.

In the Vocational Boys’ Judging Contest held in connection with the Farm Products Show at Harrisburg, Morrison Cove School was represented by Joe Wineland, swine judge; Ray Albright, dairy judge; and John Ellenberger, corn judge. They were to meet Gov. Pinchot and state officers.
