Campbell’s billiard parlor on North Market Street in Martinsburg, closed its doors. The building was to be torn down to make way for construction of the Majik Market convenience store.

Thelma Bergstresser, former administrator at Nason Hospital, was honored by staff and board members at an appreciation dinner Jan 8. at Chilcoat’s Restaurant. Mrs. Bergstresser who retired Jan 2, was succeeded by John P. Kinney.
