South Woodbury
Township
South Woodbury Supervisors met at the township building on Tuesday, December 3 at 9 a.m.
The treasurer’s report was approved. Total liabilities and equity is $2,633,685,48.
Email has been set to PLGIT to request signage for three school bus stops on Snake Spring Mountain Road. Northern Bedford School District made the request.
The Supervisors spent a large amount of time reviewing various lots for compliance relating to wells and sewage.
Businesses that are not in compliance with permits will be sent letters or already have been sent letters on these issues. No report was available on the sewage management program. Sludge was removed from dry bed according to supervisors.
Next meeting will be on Monday January 6 at 9 a.m. and will be the organizational meeting.
Woodbury Township
Woodbury Borough council met on Monday, December 2.
According to the treasurer’s report, there is a total of $224,677.88 in the accounts.
Currently, there is no mayor for Woodbury. The position is open to a resident who would like to be considered.
BCAM meeting will be scheduled for March or April of 2025.
There was $19,720 left in COVID money to designate before the end of the year. Money was distributed as bonuses to council members and given to Southern Cove Ambulance and Fire Company.
The borough was not selected in the last round of grant money for a borough truck in the local share grants. An additional round of funding for a grant was due by November. This grant was submitted again in hopes of getting funds for a new truck.
The new borough truck shed building has been started with the new posts now intact.
Woodbury Community Center meeting minutes were reviewed.
The township will be moving its meeting to the WACC senior room.
A cost was quoted by Waltower for mini split units. Discussion is still ongoing.
All meetings will be held the first Monday of every month for 2025 with the exception of Sept 2.
