Claysburg-Kimmel FBLA Group Gives Back to the Community

Claysburg-Kimmel's Future Business Leaders of America Chapter (CK FBLA) has received so much support from our community over the years, and our chapter wanted the chance to show our appreciation and give back to the community that has given so much to us.

To aid our community in as many ways as possible, this year's Community Service Project team (Makeznie Ebersole, Levi Kennedy, and Launa Musselman) created Community Connections with the main goal of leaving a positive impact on our community.

On October 26, Community Connections held a Basket Bingo to fundraise for their project. They raised a total of $2,750 which will all be donated back to the community through future events. The team then served a free Thanksgiving meal to those in the Claysburg community.

Through pickups and in-home deliveries, we were able to serve over 70 meals. Community Connections next event will be a free breakfast with Santa on December 14th, which will be located at the Claysburg-Kimmel Elementary School.

Breakfast will consist of pancakes with toppings, sausage, and an assortment of drinks. Along with breakfast, there will be festive crafts for the kids to do, as well as a free printed photo with Santa.
