Saturday (Nov. 23) ushers in the statewide traditional four-day rifle bear season. As with deer hunting, archers have had early dibs on opportunities to hunt bears. Also, an early season for muzzleloader hunters and some rifle hunters occurred during late October. Significant numbers of bruins were tagged during these hunts.
