The Bechtel family has operated Cove View Farms since the 1930s. Accepting the Blair County Chamber of Commerce's ACE Award for 2024 were (from left): Andrew, Gary, Muffy and Robyn. The award was presented Nov. 13 during a dinner at the Freedom Township Fire Hall.
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, Nov. 13, recognized the agriculture skills and long farming history of a Curryville-area farm family.
The family operating Cove View Farms since the 1930s received The Chamber's Agricultural Community Excellence Award (ACE), which was presented with the award at a dinner at the Freedom Township Fire Hall. The dinner featured service by FFA members from the Central, Bellwood, Tyrone and Williamsburg clubs. Also featured was the Blair County Dairy Princess Anna Longenecker, other dairy royalty and – of course – the well-known milk punch.
