Betty L. Mountain

Betty L. Mountain, 72, of Roaring Spring, went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at home.

She was born April 4, 1952, in Roaring Spring the daughter of the late Martin and Romaine (Holsinger) Imler. She married Denny H. Mountain Oct. 20, 1973.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years; a son, Justin D. Mountain at home; a granddaughter, Ashley Bowser of East Freedom; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Mountain; and four brothers, Bill, Kenny, Mike, and Barry.

Betty was a life-long member of the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church.

She was a 1970 graduate of Northern Bedford County High School.

She had previously been employed at Martinsburg Cove Shoe and the Allegheny Lutheran Daycare in Claysburg.

Betty enjoyed camping, riding 4-wheelers, reading, and she especially loved volunteering at Mending Hearts.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, in the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Pastor Michael Abell will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s memory may be given to Mending Hearts.
