Bloomfield Road, Taylor Township
A crash occurred on Wednesday, October 23 at 4 p.m. on 1500 block of Bloomfield Road in Taylor Township involving Diana Johnson, 31, and three children who were the passengers of Roaring Spring and Beverly Smith, 66, of New Enterprise. This crash happened as Johnson was traveling south on Bloomfield Road behind Smith’s vehicle when they stopped for a school bus which was in front of her and stopped to drop off students. The school bus proceeded to travel south of Bloomfield Road at which time Smith started to move forward. The front bumper and grill of Johnson’s car hit the rear of Smith’s car. Smith sustained minor injury and was transported via AMED to Conemaugh Nason Hospital for treatment. Johnson was found to be in violation of VC 3361 driving at safe speed and cited. Those who assisted at the scene were Friendship Volunteer Fire Company, AMED and Walter’s Towing.
Dunnings Hwy and Benton Road, Freedom Township
Brian Weidel, Jr., 20, of Williamsburg was traveling south on Dunnings Highway about 656 feet from Benton Road, in Freedom Township at 6:31 a.m. on Friday, October 18, when his vehicle struck something on the road that caused it to veer off the road. The car then struck an embankment and rolled over blocking the southbound lane. There were no injuries but the car was disabling damage. Fire departments from Freedom Township, Greenfield Township, and Friendship Fire Company of Roaring Spring assisted on scene.\
