Mary Ann Millin (Ferry)

Mary Ann Millin (Ferry), daughter of the late Russell and Shirley (Farabaugh) Millin, was born Sept. 15, 1958, and passed with her husband and children by her side in UPMC Altoona on Oct. 14, 2024, at the age of 66.

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Russell Ferry; her beloved daughter, Kara Frye (Keith England) and two wonderful sons: Allen (Jessica) and Brody (Jessie Hammel) Frye. Mary Ann loved her 12 grandchildren: Haley, Allee, Chloe, Skylar, Ryan, Madison, Elise, Zane, Aria, Adeline, Alena and Arabella. Mary Ann was a cherished sister to Linda Snyder (Mark) and Richard Millin (Karen).

Mary Ann was preceded in death by a most beloved brother, Ronald J. Millin in 2001.

Mary Ann was a creator of laughter, a beloved wife, mother, Mammy, sister, aunt, daughter and friend who filled the lives of those around her with laughter, warmth, and thoughtfulness. Ever thoughtful, she was an excellent gift-giver, always putting careful thought into each and every present. Whether it was preparing favorite meals, sending heartfelt birthday cards, or making regular phone calls to check in, Mary Ann's special touches left lasting impressions on her loved ones.

Mary Ann had a fiery spirit to match her beautiful red hair. When she wasn't busy working she could be found absorbed in a good book, on a motorcycle ride with Russ or spending time with her grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren will fondly remember her infectious laughter and the fun times they shared. Her joyfulness and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will forever enrich the lives of her loved ones.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
