Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames

On October 6 - 8 Reality Outreach Ministries, Fairborn, Ohio, presented their production of Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames,

Lead Pastor Del Smith, Faith Assembly of God Church, Roaring Spring, hosted the presentation to share with the community and surrounding area of how our decisions determine life’s path on earth and afterlife.

A lot of time and effort was put into this event which challenged over 30 volunteers to perform on stage as actors, stage management, greeters, ushers, and parking lot attendants.

Dwayne Corbin, USA Co-President of Reality Outreach Ministries, used his leadership to minister and guide the volunteers to do their part.

The opening scene portrayed Jesus Christ slowly walking down the aisle carrying the cross on which he would be crucified. Actors embedded with the audience rose to their feet to rush on stage to mock and laugh at Jesus during the crucifixion.

One scenario occurred in an elevator with two ladies friends discussing attending church. The Christian lady was encouraging her friend to go with her on a Sunday, however her friend was busy and had other excuses. Their conversation was interrupted when the building caught on fire which caused the elevator to crash resulting in their death. The appearance of the angel with the “Book of Life” alarmed the unsaved woman who was pulled into Hell by Satan and his demons. The Christian lady was welcomed by Christ standing at the top of the stairs.

Another scene occurred with a family driving after church and discussing the sermon where their two boys just made a decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The parents were overjoyed with making the correct choice. At the same time, another father and son were driving to ball practice and joking about how the mom was “way too religious.” The father spoke that sports were more important than religion and that his son had plenty of time to attend church later. Soon, the father and son drove directly into the church family, killing all six individuals. Immediately they laid on the floor in front of the “Book of Life” where an angel stood ready to search for their names. All four of the church family members were greeted by Jesus at the top of the stairs while seven beautiful angels spread their wings toward the Savior. However the father and son did not make correct choices and were harshly dragged into Hell. Satan with his demons rushed to escort the two while laughing and saying to the father, “thanks daddy.”

Over the course of three special evenings, twenty-six individuals made a first time decision to make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior; twenty-seven made decisions to rededicate their lives to Christ. In advance, Faith Assembly prepared for baptism by purchasing a change of clothes for twenty-five, including young and old, and took advantage of the opportunity to be baptized after performances.
