James R. "Jim" Negley

James R. "Jim" Negley, 81, of Clappertown, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 12, 2024, at UPMC Altoona.

He was born Sept. 2, 1943, in Bedford County, son of the late C.W. and Theda Osborne (Gates) Negley. On Oct. 15, 1966, he married Linda J. Bristow at the St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Martinsburg.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, of almost 58 years, their anniversary would have been on Tuesday; three children: J. Todd Negley of Altoona, Mark A. Negley (Chris) of Clappertown and Renee L. Bumberger (John) of rural Hollidaysburg; eight grandchildren: Richard Negley (...
