Daniel E. Smith

Daniel E. Smith, 43, of North East, passed away Wednesday Oct. 2, 2024, at UPMC Hamot.

He was born Oct. 2, 1981, in Roaring Spring, to Ronald and Marsha (Grove) Smith of Martinsburg. On June 12, 2004, he married Allison Burnham.

He is survived by his wife, Allison; sons, Korbin and Parker Smith; his parents; sisters, Barbara Woodring (Daniel), Heidi Malinowski (Matt), and Taylor Kinnear (Josh); father and mother-in-law, Rick and Donna Burnham; and several nieces and nephews.

Dan graduated from Central High School in Martinsburg, and was a grape farmer at Burnham Family Farms in North East.

He was a member of Orchard Beach Assembly and the Horticultural Society.

Dan enjoyed watching his sons play sports, grape farming, hunting, smoking foods, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

A funeral was held Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at Orchard Beach Assembly, 2025 Orchard Beach Road, North East. Private interment will be held at North East Cemetery.
