Royer on National Register

On Sept. 15, Donald Bookhammer of Roaring Spring attached a bronze plaque at the front door of Royer Mansion designating it as being on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Claysburg-Kimmel School Board named a 10-year veteran high school math teacher, Matt Hall, as its new elementary principal during the Oct. 8 meeting.

On Monday, Oct. 20, Homewood will be one of four county businesses inducted into the Blair County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Hall of Fame.

Blair County has effectively received an improved credit report, according to county officials – and as a result, taxpayers might see slightly reduced taxes in 2017.

Northern Bedford upped its record to 4-3 with a dominating 49-0 win over West Branch on Oct. 10.

Much like the Borough of Williamsburg, neighboring Catharine Township is having an issue with junk cars.
