Central Hopeful After Game with BG

Even though Central Scarlet Dragons came up short on the scoreboard against Bishop Guilfoyle Academy, with a final score of 23-12, head coach Jerry Albright was pleased with the team's effort and resilience to battle to the end.

He said defense has been Central's best attribute this year.

"They overcame many obstacles to keep Bishop Guilfoyle Academy off the scoreboard as much as they did," Albright said. "We still need to keep improving every week if we want to reach many of our pre-season goals."

Player of the game was Lukas Black with a total of 17 tackles on defense, he said.

"Our core of linebackers including Black, Colton Harbaugh and Braydon Beach are all playing super," Albright said.

According to him, Eli Muther was the team's unsung hero.

"He is our leader on both offense and defense," Albright said.

On Friday, Central will return to their home field to take on the Huntingdon Bearcats who have a 0-5 record.

"Huntingdon has been struggling this year - but they have the personnel to put up big offensive numbers to make this Friday night a shootout," he said. "I hope we can put together a complete game; offensive, defensive and special teams. We are hoping to put it all together in one game.
