Mildred Janet (Longenecker) Keagy

Mildred Janet (Longenecker) Keagy, 93, of Laverne, Calif. entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Friday Aug. 16, 2024.

She was born at home June 11, 1931, in Clappertown, daughter of the late Lester M. and Noami S. (Guyer) Longenecker. On April 5, 1953, she married Wilfred Keagy, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children: Alan and Brian (Anette) Keagy; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Ruth Morgan, LaDonna Biddle, Emily Grannas; and two brothers: W. Dale and Harry Longenecker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilfred Keagy; two sisters: Dorothy McCall and Martha McIntyre; and three brothers: Marlin, R. Max and Harold Longenecker.

Mildred graduated from Morrison Cove High School in 1949. She grew up with a strong work ethic working on the family farm.

She enjoyed taking trips and cruises around the world with her husband and family. She enjoyed all things culinary and was employed at local colleges in Pomona, Calif., preparing and serving food for the students.

A memorial service was held by her family in California.
