Marjorie A. (Hoffner) Speacht, 69, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday evening, Sept. 19, 2024, at her home.

She was born June 8, 1955, in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard P. and Marjorie A. (Reed) Hoffner. On Aug. 25, 1979, she married Barry G. Speacht at the Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Barry of 45 years; two daughters: Ashley M. Speacht and Amy M. Speacht both of Williamsburg; a daughter-in-law, Heather L. Holencik (Adam) of rural Williamsburg; three grandchildren: Owen B. Dively, Braylyn E. Speacht and Benjamin M. Holencik; two sisters: Frances E. Hoffner of Mechanicsburg and Rose M. Lynn of Williamsburg; two brothers: Charles V. Hoffner of Chicopee, Mass. and Steven M. Hoffner of Williamsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Cody G. Speacht, who passed away on May 12, 2014.

Marge was a 1973 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She was employed for many years at a youth group home in Altoona and also worked with the custodial staff at the Williamsburg Elementary School for more than 20 years.

She was a longtime, faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where she served on the Altar Guild.

Marge loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and attending Blue Pirate basketball games for her daughter and granddaughter. She also enjoyed playing skills machines, traveling and taking motorcycle rides with her husband, Barry.

A funeral was held Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2024, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiated. Interment was held at the Williamsburg Lutheran Cemetery.

Contributions in memory of Marge may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, 217 Plum St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
