Bedford County Historical Society Holds Registration for The Quilt Show

The Bedford County Historical Society will be holding registration for the Quilt Show on Friday, September 27, from 1-4 p.m. and Saturday, September 28, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Society, 6441 Lincoln Hwy, Bedford, on the second floor.

Parking and entrance are in the rear.

There is no fee to enter items in the Quilt Show & Sale. There is a limit of 12 items per entrant; there will be a charge for any items over 12.

All items must be quilted and have a sleeve on the back for hanging, and your quilts and quilted items do not have to be judged.

Quilts must be measured before registration.

Categories for submission are: bed quilt, wall quilt, miniature, baby quilt, clothing and accessories, first piece entry, group entry, junior division (18 & under), art quilt, and Pioneer Challenge.

Please no pre-printed panels. The following categories are for display or sale only; they will not be judged: home accessories and antique/heirloom.

Awards will be given for the Pioneer Challenge Quilt, People’s Choice, Best of Show Hand-quilted, Best of Show Machine-quilted, and Judge’s Choice. You may also sell your quilts at the Show.

The Quilt Show & Sale will be held on October 5-13, open weekdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, October 13, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Quilts can be picked up on the final day at 4:30 pm.
