Ake Promoted to Brigadier General

Adam Ake, the son of Ken Ake a Cove resident, was promoted to Bridgadier General.

Family and friends attended the hour long ceremony which took place on July 15, 2024, at Fort Lesley J. McNair near Washington, D.C.

Brig. Gen Adam Ake was commissioned in 1997 from West Point, where he graduated first in academic and overall standing. After two years of graduate study as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, BG Ake served as a scout and support platoon leader in Korea and then as a company commander and staff officer at Ft.
