SCPR Prepares For Fall Show

During the Southern Cove Power Reunion’s August meeting they reported that there were 138 hookups at the last tractor pull and no breakdowns.

Amy Mellot shared the treasurer report. The checking account balance was $22,941.84, and the Hometown Museum Fund had a balance of $4,236.00.

An updated water line is in the process of being placed and there will be an additional hook up for apple butter making for the fall show.

On September 17 and 18, the weigh-ins are at 4 p.m. There will also be a church service on September 8:30 a.m. and all-you-can-eat breakfast.

Chicken dinners will be available on Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m.

Daily activities for the fall show include: threshing grain, baling straw, binder-corn and chopping corn, tractor games, flea markets, sawmill, apple cider pressing, basket raffle, and tractor parade

Antique tractor pull will be on September 17-18 at 5 p.m, the Classic Farm and Stock pull is on September 18 at 5 p.m., and Children’s Pedal Pull is on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
