A man from Hollidaysburg died in a single car accident Friday night in Greenfield Township.
State police reported that Wayne A. Newkirk, 46, was driving southbound on I-99 at a high speed in the right lane when, at around 11:48 p.m., he veered into the left lane to overtake another vehicle.
Newkirk lost control of his Honda Accord, left the road, and hit an embankment. The car rolled several times, ejecting Newkirk, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
