Northern Bedford Wins Showdown Against Claysburg-Kimmel

Northern Bedford football played a hard-fought game Friday night against Claysburg-Kimmel with a final score of 18-15, taking the Panthers’ record to 2-0.

The Panthers’ defense started the game off strong forcing Claysburg to punt. NB scored first with an 11-yard pass from Vaughn Schleinkofer to Aaron Bowers for six points. At half-time, the game was tied up 15-15.

The Play of the Game was Wesley Horsh’s 39-yard catch to set up the game-winning drive. Alex Kochara’s kick from the 20-yard line for 3 points put NBC ahead 18-15 with 1:36 left on the clock. Ben Clark had one touchdown and over 150 rushing yards with his longest run of the game 67 yards making him Player of the Game. Mason Musselman was the unsung hero up front on defense and did an amazing job blocking on offense.

Northern Bedford travels to Wilmington next week to take on the Greyhounds for the first time in NB history.
