Northern Bedford Boys Soccer Defeats Forbes Road

The Northern Bedford Boys’ soccer squad moved to 2-0 on the season with a dominant win on the road over Forbes Road High School. The Panthers downed the Cardinals 8-1 with a strong five-goal second half. Dhylan Miller led the way with two goals and an assist, while Max Gochnour and Alex Kochara each notched two goals. D’Angelo Wojick notched a goal and two assists with Weston Hart adding a goal and an assist. Ben Steele, playing in his first start as a goalie, allowed only one goal. Coach Dan Oberman felt the team may have started a little slow, but showed much better ball movement and control in the second half where they reeled off three goals in ten minutes and five for the half. The Cardinals lone goal came in the first half at 12:51. Northern Bedford opens the month of September with games at home against Rockwood and on the road against Berlin Brothers.
