CHS XC Girls Win AA Title

Herald of Sept. 9, 1999

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge will be visiting in the Cove area next week, and he’s stopping by Pedal Power.

After 43 years of service to its customers, Long’s Furniture Inc. of Roaring Spring will be closing its doors for good next month.

Pennsylvania should offer financial help to make sure that the drought does not put small farm operations out of business, according to State Sen. Robert C. Jubelirer.

Work, starting in early August on the new Roaring Spring Mobil Station owned by Barkman Oil Co. of Woodbury, is on schedule as general contractor Samuel E. Rhodes of Woodbury pushes for an October completion.
