NBC Wins Against S.Huntingdon

Northern Bedford’s football team made a statement in their season opener against Southern Huntingdon. The Panthers capitalized on excellent field position early on with Ben Clark scoring two touchdowns and a safety, giving them a strong lead. Northern Bedford had secured a convincing 36-16 victory.

The play of the game belonged to Connor Donaldson, whose 38-yard pass from Vaughn Schleinkofer set up Clark’s first score from the Rocket three yard line. Schleinkofer, who completed 17 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns, was the player of the game, showing poise and precision under pressure. Donaldson, though, was the unsung hero, providing a vital offensive spark and making key plays on both sides of the ball. Joe O’Brien’s relentless effort in the trenches also proved critical, disrupting Southern Huntingdon’s offense throughout the game.

As Northern Bedford prepares to travel to Claysburg-Kimmel next week, they do so with momentum on their side, ready to build on their impressive start. Schleinkofer’s performance in the third quarter, where he went 4-5 for 84 yards and two touchdowns, was instrumental in extending the Panthers’ lead to 36-0 and setting the mercy clock in motion.
