FFA Boys Win at Fair

Future Farmers of America from Williamsburg High School won top honors in the FFA competition at the Bedford Fair during the week of Aug. 5.

The Yellow Creek Yankee’s Minor Little League team completed an undefeated season this summer.

J. Dennis Schultz, D.D.S., son of Dr. and Mrs. Edward J. Shultz, will open a dental office and begin the practice of dentistry in Claysburg, Sept. 1.

Six crosswalks on Main St., Route 36, in Woodbury, were requested by Woodbury Borough Council at their meeting Monday, Aug. 26.

The Martinsburg Community Guidance Council agreed Tuesday night to increase the 1974 Community Fund goal over the 1973 goal of $11,550 but a final figure was not established.

A stork shower was held Friday, Aug. 16, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Grace of 600 E. Main Street, Roaring Spring. Mrs. Grace was the honored guest.
