South Woodbury Township is planning a permanent marker to honor its veterans of all wars. Planning and fund-raising has been in progress for several years, and those working on the project are hoping to begin construction yet this year or early next year. The names of some 400 veterans with South Woodbury connections, both living and deceased, have been collected and will be engraved on a wall in front of the municipal building, located at the intersection of Brumbaugh and North Roads between Loysburg.

The Everett Lumbersticks 18U fastpitch softball team captured first place at the 2014 USSSA 18U Class C World Series in Ocean City, Md. The team included some players from Northern Bedford and Central High Schools.

Several local farmers, agricultural experts and local political hopefuls came out to Ojala Farm for the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau State Legislative Farm Tour.
