Jeanne Black

Jeanne Black, 94, of Roaring Spring, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Homewood at Martinsburg.

She was born Dec. 1, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Francelia (Wagner) Alexander. She married J. Edward Black Nov. 23, 1950, and he passed away Nov. 25, 2001.

She is survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by two daughters: Celia Knisely and Cynthia Davis.

Jeanne was a life long member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring. She was a 1947 graduate of Morrison Cove High School.

Jeanne had worked in the offices of Drs. Hershberger and Kerr and had also worked at Owen Wagner’s Grocery Store.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, music, puzzles, painting, and flowers.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.
