‘Mothers’ vs. Little League

The Martinsburg Little Leaguers ended the 1974 season with a rollicking field night on Monday, Aug. 12 when the mothers, the coaches and a combination of both challenged the various Little League teams in a series of two inning matches.
The Spring Cove School District announces a family income schedule under which free and reduced school lunches and free milk will be provided for school children of the district.
Because of air pollution from a coal-fired boiler at the Williamsburg generating station, the Pennsylvania Electric Co. has agreed to pay $1,000 a month into the “Clean Air Fund” of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources until the plant is brought into compliance with the air pollution control act.
The Roaring Spring Ambulance Club received its new 1974 Dodge ambulance Tuesday evening–a van-type ambulance that was supplied by Conaway M. & M. Sales, Inc., of Markleysburg.
