A new ordinance in Greenfield Township has been enacted regarding the naming of streets and the placement of signs. Supervisors approved the requirements during their Aug. 5 meeting.

Two days of beautiful weather Aug. 9 and 10 in Claysburg brought folks from far and wide for the food, entertainment, arts and crafts booths and to socialize with friends and families at Claysburg’s 39th Annual Community Days.

Boy Scouts from Troop 353, Williamsburg, toured the Herald office on Aug. 7. The scouts learned about how newspaper production has moved the era of hot lead type to computerization and digital photos.

The Pa. Dept. of Agriculture has moved its Region 5 office to Martinsburg from Altoona, Pa.

The Williamsburg Farm Show Association and the Williamsburg Horse Show Association will sponsor an open horse show at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17.
