Stopping to Recognize God's Goodness

Our congregation recently paused to recognize God’s goodness to us. The occasion was the retirement of our assistant pastor. His story is worth sharing in the hopes that it will inspire people of retirement age to be involved in ministry. If you fall into that age category, you have compiled life experience and skills and some mature perspectives on how to apply Biblical passages. The Bible pictures Christ’s followers as servants, and there is no retirement age for service in the Scriptures. That doesn’t mean that you will serve as a senior in the same way you served in your younger years.
