For decades I've admired photos by Gary Baranec, but it's the owner of the pristine Ford Ferguson tractor and plow -- just like two that my dad, John Davis of Piney Creek went farming with and that his boys, Gene, Bill and I grew up on. Gene still has the 1941 original, which needs a makeover to be parade-worthy, although I'd be proud to drive it. It's also the vehicle of choice our dad drove to visit friends around the Cove once the state withdrew his driver's license. So, please tell me more about that July 9 AG Parade entry; I'm open to communication from him (or her).
