Roaring Spring

Virginia A. "Ginny" (Hall) Sell, 92, of Roaring Spring formerly of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday evening, July 2, 2024, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

She was born January 21, 1932, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Robert Q. and Anna M. (Burleigh) Hall. On August 6, 1949, she married John H. Sell in Martinsburg. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2005, following 56 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Cynthia "Cindy" Hardwick of Des Moines, Iowa and Sheila K. Yingling (Todd) of Roaring Spring; four grandsons: Sean Imler (Julie), Joshua Imler (Rosely), Scott Hardwick (Stacey), and Cody Yingling (Brittany); four great-grandchildren: Adalee, Courtney, Tyler and Avery; and a special niece, Barbara L. Corle of Oxford, NJ.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Helen Shaffer, May Hall, and Jane Corle.

Ginny was a 1949 graduate of Martinsburg High School.

She worked for a few years at Dr. Whetstone's office and later retired as a nurse's aide for Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg, with over 25 years of service.

She was a longtime, faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Martinsburg.

Ginny loved spending time with family and friends and being a caretaker for many of her loved ones over the years. She also enjoyed handwriting letters to those she cared about and reading.

At Ginny's request there will be no public services and private graveside service will be held at Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. Contributions in memory of Ginny may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 115 East Penn Street, Martinsburg, PA 16662.
