Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science

Daniel Longwell attended the state meeting for the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science at Penn State University on May 20, 2024. He received a 1st Award for his project “The Theremin: How Does Capacitance Affect Output Frequency?”. Daniel also received a Perseverance State Award for presenting at the state level for five years. As part of the competition, Daniel presented his project to a panel of judges along with ten of his peers. The state competition included presentations by over 1600 students from across Pennsylvania. Daniel just completed his junior year at Central High School. Daniel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Longwell of Martinsburg.
