ASO Announces Summer Discovery Series

The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce its Summer Discovery Series, a lineup of free outdoor concerts featuring the sounds of members of the Altoona Symphony Orchestra and the Gerhart Chamber Ensemble, a community string ensemble beginning its second year. Join the orchestra for a summer of music for all ages.

Summer Discovery Series Schedule:

June 27 – “Rockin’ the Night Away”

• Time: 6:00 PM

• Venue: Sugar Run Brewing Co., 511 Municipal Drive, Duncansville (Food or drink purchase is not required)

July 11 – “Far Off Lands”

• Time: 6:00 PM

• Performers: Gerhart Chamber Ensemble

• Venue: C2 Trolley House at Lakemont Park (tentative)

July 13 – “Family Fun Day”

• Time: 1:00 PM

• Performers: Gerhart Chamber Ensemble

• Venue: Canal Basin Park Amphitheatre, Hollidaysburg

July 25 – “Rockin’ the Night Away”

• Venue: Levity Brewing Co., 1411 11th Ave., Altoona (Food or drink purchase is not required)

August 15 – “Summertime and the Livin’ is Easy”

• Time: 6:00 PM

• Venue: Legion Park Discovery Garden, Hollidaysburg

All performances are free and open to the public. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy these delightful summer evenings filled with music! This is a perfect opportunity to experience the talent of the Altoona Symphony Orchestra and the Gerhart Chamber Ensemble in beautiful outdoor settings.
