South Woodbury Township Gives Bridge Update

Board of Supervisors held their May meeting as scheduled on May 7, at 9 a.m.

An update was given on Pine Hill Road Bridge Project; some signage will need to be done on the weight limit.

Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission will hold a meeting on May 22 at 10:30 a.m. for fiscal year 2025-2028 at the County Court House.

John I. & Minerva R. Subdivision was discussed.

This is located on 916 Ridge Road and will be a sewing machine shop.

First approved subdivision and sewage proposal was presented for business and house.

Approval is needed on three lots; the middle lot will be the family dwelling.

Code enforcement was discussed and paperwork was sent to some businesses to convert to commercial.

Planning will continue for naming of the Golden Rule Bridge to include all South Woodbury veterans who served. A sign was approved, and more information will be coming on a ceremony.

Auditor Pay was increased from $10 to $18. A recommendation came down from Governor Shapiro’s office to increase this.

Herbert Decker Trash Hauling gave a notice that they were sold to Weavers.

Wastewater plant oral report stated no problems with normal maintenance.
