State Honors Curry Supply

An 80-year-old Cove business, Curry Supply Co. of Curryville, has been lauded by Pennsylvania’s governor for creating and retaining jobs. The company was awarded the 2014 Governor’s ImPAct Award for consistent job growth.

The high school season comes down to just one game for both the Central baseball and Claysburg-Kimmel softball teams. Central and C-K will compete for a state title in their respective sports Friday, June 13, at State College.

Williamsburg Farm Show directors will have a strawberry festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the farm show building. Sandwiches, ice cream, cake, drinks and strawberries will be available.

The Claysburg-Kimmel softball team made school history when a PIAA Class A semifinal victory moved the team into the state championship game.

CHS will graduate 134 students at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 13.
