Authority Looks to Purchase Jetter from Martinsburg

The Williamsburg Municipal Authority discussed purchasing a jetter from Martinsburg, Borough Manager Joe Lansberry said the jetter would be used for open drains and sewer mains. Lansberry said he had been in talks with Martinsburg Mayor Rich Brantner, Sr. regarding the jetter. Harry Mullins made a motion to spend less than $6,000 for the jetter with Ed Patterson seconding, motion passed.

The Authority was awarded a small sater/sewer grant which included the purchase of two new flow rate control valves and two new wet well pumps. A purchase order was approved to purchase the two wet well pumps at the COSTARS price; Ed Patterson made the motion to purchase the well pumps with Chet Bingham seconding, motion passed.

Troy Everhart made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report with Ed Patterson seconding, motion passed. Stiffler McGraw Engineer John Clabaugh gave an update from Cove Forge – Authority is still awaiting information related to fire flow demands following the Authority’s capacity letter to Cove Forge. Clabaugh also said that no other correspondence was received from Cenveo following last month’s industrial pre-treatment changes. Catharine Township Representative Daryl Cole also gave an update regarding the Township’s Act 537 plan progress.
