Freedom House Ministries Holds Fundraising Festival

Freedom House Ministries located at 176 Chalybeate Road, Bedford, held a fundraising festival on May 18. Freedom House is about 95% ready to open its doors according to Dennis Dibert, chaplain at the Bedford Jail. The restored facility will house up to 34 men.

This program is designed to rehabilitate men who have been incarcerated or may face incarceration for drugs and alcohol. Faith Healing Men is the message they send. “So, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36

This is a Christian-based program designed to give men a fresh start in life. They will be taught life skills, work, attend church, and receive counseling. Churches in the Everett and Bedford community help to support this program. Chaplain Dennis Dibert, with the help of others, has helped to turn around the lives of many.

The festival had a line up of speakers and entertainers for the day. Bedford Methodist Church featured an adult praise band and a youth praise band. There were children’s activities for the day including a petting zoo, face painting, games, a magic show and a silent auction.

Freedom House Ministries is always accepting donations of time, money or support of their thrift and gift shop. For more information call 814-494-2949 or find them on Facebook.

On June 22 there will be a Chicken BBQ sponsored by Royal Rangers.
