75 Northern Bedford County FBLA members attended the Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference hosted at the Hershey Lodge from April 7-9.
Members competed against students from across the commonwealth in a wide range of competitive events.
The top four competitors in each event qualify for the National Leadership Conference to take place in Orlando, Florida in June.
Northern Bedford was recognized as one of the top chapters in Pennsylvania in fulfilling FBLA’s Mission of Service, Progress, and Education, earning outstanding chapter status.
By the end of the Awards of Excellence Program, 22 students qualified for National competition.
Avery Aungst, Aleah Loose, Jaylyn Resh, Lydia Koontz, and Aiden Wadel qualified for national competition in two events.
Savanna Hershberger, Wesley Horsh, and Nolin Snider took home first place honors with their Partnership with Business Project, Brewing Success.
The trio worked alongside local business owner Betsy Francke in promoting growth of both the Coffee Coop and Northern Bedford FBLA.
Avery Aungst completed her term as Pennsylvania FBLA Vice President at Large.
At the conference, Aungst ran a successful campaign and was elected to serve as the Pennsylvania FBLA First Vice President for the 2024-2025 membership year.
