Plans for New Dollar General

Herald of May 22, 2014

Plans for a new Dollar General in Claysburg took a step forward Tuesday, May 6, when Greenfield Township supervisors provided conditional approval for construction of a new building. Providing that all re- quirements set forth by the township’s engineer are met, the project will allow for a 12,480-square-foot store to be placed next to Carpet Depot along Dunnings Highway.

Joan Brooks and Diane Stinedurf were presented with the Lauretta Woodson Award during Monday night’s meeting of the Spring Cove School Board. Presenting the awards to the local women were PASR Blair County member Elizabeth Happeny and PASR Blair County President Bill Neugebauer. Brooks is secretary at Spring Cove Elementary School and Stinedurf teaches first grade at the school.

Voters in the 80th House District on Tuesday, May 20, chose Judy F. Ward of Hollidaysburg to be on the ballot for the November general election.
