Dr. Nason Gives Tour of OR

No Herald for May 11, 1899 this is from April 20 &

May 19.

Dr. Albert Nason gave the Roaring Spring correspondent a tour of his operating room and the correspondent was amazed at its magnificence. The surgical furniture was of the most modern style.Heavy French Edibold operating table, aseptic instrument case, solution stand, instrument stand, dressing table, ward carriage, irridator and all the paraphernalia belonging in a first class operating room. It is therefore no wonder that the doctor’s operations are of the first class order.

Harry Roller was appointed to replace Harry Allender, who resigned as clerk at the Enterprise Supply Company store in Williamsburg.

A violent thunderstorm caused heavy damage to the O.H. Ormsby orchard in the Piney Creek region. Seventeen apple trees were uprooted and twisted.

Much of the corn planted by farmers failed to germinate and would have to be replanted.
