A fire damaged a two-story duplex on Wednesday, April 10, in the afternoon in Williamsburg.
Deputy Fire Chief Steve Lane of Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department said a neighbor called in the incident, and when his crew first arrived on scene the whole back of the house was on fire at 821 W. Second St.
The homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, said he was outside when he heard the fan in the attic pop and then saw flames coming out of the window at about 1:30 p.m.
