Township Still Seeking Next Supervisor

Following the acceptance of Ed Clark’s resignation letter as supervisor during last Thursday evening’s April Woodbury Township meeting, Secretary Kelsie Lego announced that there was one letter of interest.

However, that interested person is a state employee, and supervisors were not sure if they can be both a state employee and a township supervisor. Supervisors and Solicitor Aimee Willett said they would look into the matter and tabled discussion until next meeting.

Ed Clark was hired as a full-time roadworker. Following his 90-day probation period, Clark would then become the township’s roadmaster. Rich Eastep made a motion to hire Clark with Chairman Joe Lansberry seconding. The motion passed.

The township supervisors have been researching security cameras on the premises of the township property. Dibert Electric quoted the township a cost of $3,395 for seven cameras along with installation. The supervisors are awaiting other quotes.

Supervisor Lansberry made a motion to not accept quotes above $4,000 and for Lego to make a bid approval following receipt of other bids. Supervisor Eastep seconded motion, which passed.

The supervisors also discussed purchase of a new computer with Quickbooks installed for Lego in the township office. Supervisor Lansberry made a motion to approve a bid from Nick Frederick for $1,063 for the new computer. Supervisor Eastep seconded motion, which passed.

“Everything looked good,” Lansberry said following the results of the Pa. Department of Communiy and Economic Development audit before making a motion to accept audit.

Supervisor Lansberry asked Supervisor Eastep to make a list of projects rated highest priority for summer paving projects in the township. The list will be presented at the May meeting.

There was a closed-door executive session following meeting to discuss legal proceedings.
