The Woodbury Borough met on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Woodbury Community Center.
President Shawn Claycomb led the group on the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and then called the meeting to order.
The expenditures and treasurer’s report was given by Barbara Wilt.
There was no mayor’s report given, no SCJMA report, and no Woodbury Area Community Center report given, as the council was not provided any.
The next BCAM meeting will be March 22 at 7 p.m. at the Bedford Legion.
Claycomb provided an update on tar and chipping that is to be done on lower Alley, Lodge and Grange streets.
Claycomb also discussed COSTARS, which is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s cooperative purchasing program. It serves as a conduit through which registered and eligible Pennsylvania local public procurement units and Pennsylvania state-affiliated entities are able to leverage contracts established by the Pa. Dept. of General Services to cost-effectively and efficiently identify suppliers with whom to do business.
Claycomb said that he has applied to the program on behalf of the borough. This will enable the borough to purchase salt or stone at the best price available.
The council went into a closed-door executive session before adjourning.
The next meeting will be on March 6 at 7 p.m.
